Is Westlaw part of the international Westlaw sites?

Westlaw is a stand-alone site, designed and developed by our Thomson Reuters Online team in Australia and New Zealand in partnership with 300+ local customers. The site is separate to Westlaw International and WestlawNext, but we've had full access to the best of Thomson Reuters global resources and technology. Because the site is supported locally, we can be quick to act e.g. posting alerts, updates and new content, and responding to customer enquiries and requests.

How does it compare to the other online providers?

Westlaw delivers a combination of features not offered by any other legal online service in Australia - thanks in large part to the extensive customer involvement in its design and development. We've combined best practice functionality (e.g. post-search filters, related documents in single view) with unique features (e.g. consolidated results lists and document display) to make Westlaw a true market leader in online legal research.

What is OnePass?

OnePass is a single sign on solution that allows users to have one username & password to access all their Thomson Reuters services. Your OnePass profile is like a masterkey but it needs to be linked in to Reg Keys or logins for each of the services you access. Click here for more information about OnePass.

How much training will we need to use Westlaw?

Westlaw was developed in consultation with more than 300 local customers so it's been designed to work the way you do.

You should be able to jump on and get researching immediately. If you want to ensure you maximise your use of Westlaw or need additional assistance our Training team are available to assist.

How do I find out coverage details for a Product or News Source?

Coverage information is available via the "I" scope icons next to products in the site Table of Contents.

For Newsroom sources you can search the Newsroom Publication Directory for coverage details and currency.
