Description

Duties Legislation WA

The Duties Legislation Western Australia service is a replacement service for Stamp Duties WA. Changes to the regulatory area in WA, primarily the introduction of a new Duties Act and the superseding of the old Stamp Act WA, provided the opportunity for the old service to be replaced with this more current one.

This service is an excellent reference for the Western Australian duties law which replaces the Stamp Act 1921 (WA).It reproduces the Duties Act 2008 and regulations with detailed commentary on the legislative provisions. The service also includes the Taxation Administration Act 2003 as well as Commissioner’s Practices, Revenue Rulings, Forms and other information requirements of the Office of State Revenue.

Subscribers are guided by the expert commentary of Grahame Young LLB (Hons) (UWA. Mr Young was a member of a small expert panel assisting the rewrite team from the Office of State Revenue and is ideally positioned to provide expert commentary on the implications of the Duties Act 2008.

Of particular benefit to inter-state clients is the exploration of how the changing regulatory environment in WA can affect those based outside the state but with interests inside.
