2 July 2012, Sydney, Australia - Thomson Reuters today announced the acquisition of document automation and legal software company, Softdocs. The move will significantly enhance the legal publisher’s workflow and document production capabilities and enable law firms across Australia to benefit from increased practice efficiency. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in Sydney in 2004, Softdocs has established a strong reputation as a client-centered provider of legal workflow solutions. The Softdocs precedent suite and Lawdocs document organiser will continue to be sold and supported in their current form, with Softdocs automated forms also made available in conjunction with Thomson Reuters market-leading Westlaw AU legal research platform.
